Madison Scott from East End will represent Saline County in the upcoming 2017 Miss
Arkansas USA pageant. The event will take place Oct. 29-30 in Bentonville. She is the daughter of Bob and Paula Scott.
Participants in the contest will compete in swimsuit, evening gown and personal interview
competitions. The winner will go on to represent Arkansas in the 2017 Miss USA pageant. Miss USA goes on to compete in the
Miss Universe pageant.
“For me, it is an opportunity to show that no matter where you are from, you can make a difference,” Scott
said. “It’s a chance for me to be a role model for hundreds of young women and help them to realize that they
are beautiful, too.”
The Miss USA pageant system stresses good morals, physical fitness, communication skills, social awareness and community
involvement. Interesting facts about Scott is she loves outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping.
She also loves to travel and learn from other cultures.
She has a desire to eventually become a therapist/counselor for teenagers.
“It is a chance for me to voice my opinion
and bring awareness to teen dating violence and teen suicide because they are overlooked more often than not,” she said.
